Bridgelux Releases 3rd Gen RS LED Arrays

Bridgelux announced today that their 3rd generation of RS LED arrays is hitting production and is now commercially available, sitting along side their updated LS and ES product line.

Much like it's lower output bretheren, the RS arrays have had a bump in the output department of close to 30%, depending on the specific LED size. Along with this increase in output, they have started to show luminous test results at higher temperatures (70C), following in the footsteps of Cree and Philips Lumileds to show more real world performance expectations in the data sheets.

They have also added a number of additional color temperature options to help fill in some of the gaps they had before so that builders have more fine control over the color output of their products. Sadly, there is no reduction in forward voltage on this round of updates, so we will just make do with more lumens for the same power.
