Cree announced today that they are updating the specifications for the tried and trued XP-G LED ever so slightly.
The XP-G has new updated performance numbers, delivering 140lm/W now in production volumes, over the original 132lm/W that was posted when the LED was first introduced. Granted, it's not a huge improvement, but every little bit helps. What is important is that it shows that Cree is committed to getting the most out of their products, and helping to improve the performance of their customers products with little to no effect to them.
